Чл. 12 и чл. 13 от Конвенцията на ООН за правата на детето подчертават, че детето има право да му бъде осигурена възможност да формира свои собствени виждания и мнения, да ги изразява свободно и на тях да се придава съответна тежест във вземането на решения.

Това е  критичен процес в развитието на децата като пълноценни личности, способни да отстояват своите позиции. То е средство за закрила на детето. Едно ненаучено да споделя мислите и чувствата си дете може например  да не споделя, че е обект на тормоз, а в такава ситуация отговорните възрастни не биха могли да предприемат действия. Децата не само изразяват мненията си свободно, но са и активен участник в общностните и обществени процеси, които са свързани  със сплотяването на отношенията дете-възрастен, усвояване на компетентност за общуване и овластяване на децата. По време на ученическите лагери, които се провеждат в периода 22.06.-22.08. 2018 г. експерти-педагози от АОЛ организират  съвместни обучителни сесии с учениците –дискусии по определени теми, за да повишат по подходящ начин техните знания и умения относно комуникациите, за генериране и развитие на техните идеи, лидерски умения, взаимодействие с възрастните. Учениците имат възможност да се запознаят с добри български и европейски практики и форми на  детско и младежко участие и да създадат  КЛУБОВЕ ПО КАЧЕСТВО във всяко училище,  които да изготвят свои програми. Члез своите програми  клубовете ще търсят отговор на въпроса: Какво може да се промени в училище, за да бъде по-приятно и да научавам повече?
